AXIS TQ5901 Audio Ring

When you connect your device to a supported Axis camera, settings for audio will appear on the camera's webpage. You can manage all of the settings described in this manual through the camera’s webpage.

1. Go to Audio > Device settings.

2. Click on the TQ5901 tab.

3. Enable the internal microphone.

2. Go to Video > Stream > Audio and include audio.

3. If the device has more than one input source, select the correct one in Source.

4. Go to Audio > Device settings and turn on the correct input source.

5. Edit the stream profile that is used for the recording:

6. Go to System > Stream profiles and select the stream profile.

7. Select Include audio and turn it on.

8. Click Save.

1. Click on Video > Image.

2. Go to Day-night mode.

3. Select your IR settings:

4. • IR-cut filter: Choose between Off, On, and Auto.

   • Threshold: Choose the intensity of the filter when IR-cut filter is set to Auto.

   • Allow illumination: Turn on IR lighting.

You can create rules to make your device perform actions when certain events occur. A rule consists of conditions and actions. The conditions can be used to trigger the actions. For example, the device can play an audio clip according to a schedule or when it receives a call, or send an email if the device changes IP address.

1. Go to System > Events and click + Add a rule. The rule defines when the device will perform certain actions. You can set up rules as scheduled, recurring, or manually triggered.

2. Enter a Name.

3. Select the Condition that must be met to trigger the action. If you specify more than one condition for the rule, all of the conditions must be met to trigger the action.

4. Select which Action to perform when the conditions are met.

1. Go to Light > Profiles.

2. Create a new profile.

3. Name your profile. If you’ll have multiple profiles, adding a description can help you quickly differentiate between them.

4. Choose a light pattern. Once you select a pattern, you will be able to choose a variety of elements, including:

5. • Speed

   • Intensity

   • Color

   • Duration

6. Click Save.

You can configure the LED lights to turn on or off when specific events occur. For example, you can turn the LED light on to let people know that video recording is in progress.

Required hardware

• AXIS TQ5901

• An Axis network video camera, such as the AXIS M5526-E PTZ Camera

The following example shows how to configure a rule that turns on the LED when the camera is recording.

1. Go to System > Events.

2. Create a new rule.

3. Choose a name for your rule.

4. Select the Condition that must be met to trigger the camera to record. It can, for example, be a time schedule or motion detection.

5. In the list of actions, select Record video.

6. • Select a storage space.

   • Select a stream profile or create a new stream profile.

   • Set the Prebuffer and Postbuffer, as required.

7. Save the rule.

8. Create a second rule with a new name.

9. Select the same Condition as in the first rule.

10. In the list of actions, select Run light profile or Run light profile while the rule is active.

11. • Choose a light profile.

    • Choose an action if prompted.

12. Save the rule.

To set the AXIS TQ5901 Audio Ring as your audio device for SIP calls:

1. Go to System > SIP. If the Set up SIP screen appears, click Close.

2. Under the Settings tab, open Audio and video.

3. Set the Audio input device as TQ5901.

4. Set the Audio output device as TQ5901.

5. Click Save.

The microphone switch is used to mechanically turn the microphone ON or OFF. The factory default setting for this switch is ON.

RJ45 Ethernet connector with Power over Ethernet Plus (PoE+).

The AXIS TQ5901 Audio Ring is equipped with a AXIS TM5805-E Dome Smoked. The dome can be interchanged with the AXIS TM5804-E Dome Clear that is included with the AXIS M5526-E PTZ Camera. Refer to the Installation Guide for information about installing the dome.

• You can clean your device with lukewarm water and cleaning agents that contain any of the following chemicals:

• isopropanol 70% (IPA)

• hydrogen peroxide 3% (H₂O₂)

• sodium hypochlorite <5% (NaCIO)

• acetic acid 10% (CH₃COOH)

• peracetic acid 0.12% (CH₃CO₃H)

1. Use a can of compressed air to remove dust and loose dirt from the device.

2. If necessary, clean the device with a soft microfiber cloth dampened with lukewarm water and a cleaning agent.

3. To remove any residual cleaning agents, wipe the device with a soft microfiber cloth dampened with lukewarm water.

4. To avoid stains, dry the device with a clean, nonabrasive cloth.

Overlays are superimposed over the video stream. They are used to provide extra information during recordings, such as a timestamp, or during product installation and configuration. You can add either text or an image.

There are preconfigured profiles and rules you can activate in Light > Profiles and preconfigured rules in System > Events. These configurations make it easier for you to implement the device’s several use cases. If you need another configuration, create new profiles and rules instead.
