Create an organization

An organization is where you connect and manage devices, and the access to them, in a hierarchical structure. The organization is also what controls the connection to applications like Azure Cognitive Service.

Follow these simple steps to create the organization:

  1. Go to https://microsoft.provisioning.connect.axis.com/.

  2. Type the name of the organization. We recommend using the name of the customer or partner as the name of the organization.

  3. The application to enable is preset to Azure Cognitive Service.
  4. Review the EULA and click the button assuring you have understood the terms and conditions.

  5. Click Next

Register the device

Use the app AXIS Installer app to register devices to the organization. AXIS Installer will soon be officially available in app stores for Android and iOS.

Currently, the AXIS Installer app is available as a beta release through Apple Test Flight. To use the app, it must be activated by Axis.

Note

To enable AXIS Installer beta in the customer’s or partners Apple TestFlight app, the customer’s or partner’s AppleID (email address) must be shared with Axis. Axis will then register the AppleID as a beta tester. An email will be sent from Apple TestFlight to the customer or partner with all the information needed to get going with TestFlight and the AXIS Installer app.

The e-mail address to send the AppleID to is: acap@axis.com

Once installed, follow these steps:

  1. Launch the AXIS Installer app.

  2. Sign in to your My Axis account.

  3. Select the organization you’ve just created.

  4. Use the app to scan the Owner Authentication Key of the device you would like to register. The key can be found in the box of the device you’ve purchased.

  5. Follow the on-screen instructions.

  6. Register additional devices by repeating steps 4 and 5.
Note

If you have lost your Owner Authentication Key (OAK), it is possible to retrieve it by logging in to the camera. Follow the instructions here: https://help.axis.com/en-us/axis-os#one-click-cloud-connection
